Ndutu:
Did you know? One of the best kept secrets of the Tanzania northern safari circuit is Ndutu. This beautiful region is known for stunningly vast open plains, scenic Lake Ndutu, the salt Lake Masek, as well as marshes and woodlands. While resident populations of elephants, giraffes, hyenas and big cats make their home here, Ndutu is most famous for hosting the Great Migration every year. Beginning in December, hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras migrate across the Serengeti from the Mara River region to Ndutu for “calving season” where thousands of new animals are born every day. While many seek to see the spectacle of the Great Migration during high season in August or September, visitors to Ndutu will have prime viewing in a region that allows off-road driving! Inquire with us today about visiting this spectacular region of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
