I suggest you select your season and let the company experts orginize the sequence of parks for you (hint is that you have good chances of seeing all you want at any time ) We went low season, fewer cars, sporadic rain and lots of green lush. Weather is suitable and the days are never extremely hot. The country is in a non-stress phase, animals have babies and time to interact. Wildebeest and buffalos were mating, and dominance challenges happened all around (bird craze included). The zebras went back and forth between their preferred food areas. The Wildebeest run in enormous packs towards the rain clouds in the horizon. We saw it all and more than once.

He knew the parks and all the paths within it. No amount of mud could deter him, for he always knew alternative routes. He drove calmly, and his more than decade experience meant he knew specific animals and their history. Where they go and when. No need for radio and no rushing around chasing down the other cars. He has respect for nature, and knows where to find what. His slow approach, and the perfect choice of where to stop (at a distance) meant animals were undisturbed and came to us. One good example was a stop 200m away from a large elefant herd. The entire group kept their pace and in a few minutes we were sorounded by elefants. Young ones playing and all. A relaxed herd, a car turned off and a quiet place. We could feel them as close and personal as it gets. In their own terms. Perfect.

His name is KHALIFA (Lion King company, arusha).
He can also tell the sex and approx. age of the animals. Knows birds and their nests. Can find a python and turtles of all sorts. Knows Tanzania history, the different cultures within, can chat or be quiet. He reads the mood and the tempo in the car with such good intuition. Amazing driver. If you love mammals/birds/reptiles/plants and want to experience Tanzania respectfully. He is the guide you should ask for.

  Life changing  - Once in a lifetime experience! We flew in to the Serengeti where our guide Shafino was waiting for us. Then it was non-stop. On the first day we saw 2... read more adult male lions with their cubs , a leopard, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and even monkeys. The next day we saw another leopard, cheetahs, a bat eared fox, rhinos, a serval cat, and a cheetah kill!

I total: 4 adult male lions, 8 cheetah, 2 leopards, 5 black rhinos, 1 serval cat, 2 bat eared foxs, 1 yellow haired jackal, countless elephant, giraffe, buffalo, and wildebeest all within 2 days!!

Shafino was professional, safe, and incredibly knowledgeable. He was on time each day and ready to roll! He knew all the best locations for spotting rare animals, positioned the jeep in amazing viewing locations (whilst still respecting the wildlife), and made sure we were happy and comfortable along the way. His passion for his work really shined through as he told us facts about animal biology, physiology, and fun stories from his extensive experience working as a guide. He communication was also super effective and he made sure we knew what we could expect each day, such as meal times, locations, meeting times, and the goals for the day based on what we told him we’d like to see and experience.

Because of Shafino’s experience and a little bit of luck, we not only saw the Big 5, but the new Big 9! Seriously! On the short of a trip that is unheard of! To top it off we also saw a cheetah successfully hunt a gazelle for its cubs! We are still reeling from the entire experience and absorbing it all. It has been so great I had to get the review done now, and we still have another day to go!

Another thing I’d like to mention is that all the accommodations we stayed at were top notch! They had friendly, accommodating I staff and amazing scenery and entertainment.

My husband and I took this trip for our anniversary and Lion King accommodated special requests made by my husband, as a surprise to me, as well. They arranged a lovely private dinner and also a sunrise balloon safari complete with a bush breakfast! Insanely cool!

If I ever get the opportunity to come back to Tanzania and take another safari, I will be happily going with Lion King and will be specifically requesting Shafino as my guide!

  Experience of a lifetime  - Went on Safari with four of my friends and had I was simply amazing time. It was a bit of a rough start in the beginning. However, Lion King adventures... read more was able to accommodate us and make the proper adjustments in order to make sure the whole group was happy. Our driver, Huruma, had a great eye to spot every animal we came across and was very knowledgeable in both the culture and wildlife. It was difficult to leave after such an amazing experience. I would absolutely go again!
