  Perfect Safari! Strongly recommended - We had an amazing trip with Lion King. We travelled with our family of 2 adults and 4 kids (between 11 and 7). The lodges and camps were all beautiful... read more and everything was perfectly arranged from initial booking till the very end. We highly recommend staying in Nyota camp, ideally 2 days (we stayed only 1 unfortunately). The safari experiences were amazing and very diverse. Lunch was extremely nice and better than most others around us, complemented with a nice beer! A special thank you to Fred our guide who really is the most talented person in Tanzania in spotting the animals (we saw big five in one day). He entertained us during the full days and gave lots of interesting information on the wildlife and region. Amazing how he was able to spot cheeta’s and leopards. Any requests we had or visits we’d like to do were all no problem for him and he also made very nice suggestions out of his own initiative. A very big thank you to Fred and if you get the chance we would really recommend asking for him as your guide. If not already convinced, Lion King is a local owned company and we really noticed their pride and care around the experience they liked us to have. Look no further and just book with them!

  Perfect Honeymoon Safari  - Going on a safari was our dream honeymoon, but seemed so daunting. I had no clue where to begin or what companies we could trust. The folks with Lion King... read more Adventure made the whole experience easy and seamless. They helped us with coordinating flights and drivers, and answered any questions we had via email or WhatsApp. Special shout out to Gordon and Florida who put everything together, creating a relaxing and incredible honeymoon.

On safari I couldn't have asked for a better guide than Gilbert. His friendly, easy going nature and impressive knowledge of the animals really created a once in a lifetime experience. We always seemed to be at the right place at the right time, which is a testament to Gilbert's skill as a guide. Everyday we walked away saying that was amazing, I can't believe we saw all that. Truly an unforgettable experience.

We received plenty of support from Lion King before the trip already during planning phase. We came up... read more with a list of places and activities we wanted to do during our stay and they manage to accommodate all of them in a custom itinerary.
The more the trip was approaching and the more the staff was supporting us so è could arrive o repeated and seamlessly enjoy our vacation.

During the trip, Jackson was a blast! Not only he made us feel comfortable, he took care that we would always have what we need and he never spare time during his explanation regarding cultural or biological explanation of whatever we were observing. He is a very friendly person, speaks many languages and has great taste of music. Always very charming and well presented, he was also very warm welcomed by everyone we encountered.

The only downside of our trip was our vehicle Kiara: despite being cozy and it served all of our needs, we found ourselves TWICE in the situation of requiring some reparations. In the end, thanks also to Jackson once again, we managed to always continue the trip but it requires us to stop and take some time always from our activities.
We understand these are unplanned events but we believe the company could invest a bit more in maintenance of the vehicles so to avoid such situations as this kind of trip happens once in a lifetime for the majority of people and the hope is that it goes as smooth and without surprises as possible.

After all, Lion King is defined tu recommended and you should request to have your tour with Jackson, you’re not gonna regret this!

  A once in a lifetime trip, made even better  - We had the most incredible safari experience we could have ever imagined. We didn’t even want to leave to go on our safari it was such a breathtaking hotel! Our fantastic guide, Jackson, came to peel us away from the hotel in the morning and was fantastic throughout. Jackson had insights on the city of Arusha and villages along the way to the beginning of our safari that were really amazing and interesting. He’s a true local who is very in touch with the things going on in the local area as well as how people in the villages live their lives. We really appreciated that. Once we got into the national parks he was incredible at spotting animals we never would have seen ourselves and had a real enthusiasm for helping us see all of the ‘big 5’ and other animals, as well as getting geeky about birds we wanted to see that was probably outside the traditional requests. He was very informative about what the plan for the day would be, very flexible based on our requests and always made sure we were comfortable. I cannot recommend Jackson enough! Please please please, if you are considering booking a safari, book it with lion king!
